18102 - AFJROTC: Aerospace III
BackAerospace III is for third year cadets which includes the principles of aircraft flight and navigation; the exploration of space which examines our Earth, the Moon and the planets; and Global and Cultural Studies, a course that introduces students to various regions of the world from a geographic, historical and cultural perspective; the exploration of astronomy, an in-depth study of the solar system; and survival instruction providing training in skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to perform fundamental tasks needed for survival. When taken as a stand-alone course, Leadership Education (LE) will be integrated from either LE-200 or LE-300. LE-200 contains sections on communication effectively, understanding groups, and teams, preparing for leadership, solving conflicts and problems, and personal development. LE-300 contains sections on pursuing career options, elements of personal budget and financial plan, and college and university application requirements. All students enrolled in this course will be required to participate in physical fitness activities. This course received Physical Education credit towards graduation. Successful completion of the program may qualify students to receive the Mastery of Subject Area Graduation Endorsement. Students are encouraged to work with their program teachers to determine eligibility.
