22103 / 22113 - Biology Agriscience
BackBiology of Agriscience is an inquiry-based course that studies how life is organized into systems and cycles while studying plant science. Topics include: plant anatomy and physiology, soils, hydroponics, genetics, the growing environment, plant reproduction and aquaponics. Facilities used include the classroom, greenhouse, garden and plant nursery. Students will be required to conduct an occupational experience program. Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) standards will be an integral part of this class. Dual credit may be obtained from the Maricopa Community College system for this program at high schools offering this option. Successful completion of the program may qualify students to receive the Mastery of Subject Area Graduation Endorsement. Students are encouraged to work with their program teachers to determine eligibility.
