Plumbing Trade Specialty
The Plumbing Trade Specialty program prepares trainees to enter the plumbing field. This course will cover the base fundamentals of the following: construction math, power & hand tools, basic rigging, material handling, communication skills, construction drawings, and employability skills. Students will also learn about plastic pipe, copper pipe, cast-iron pipe, carbon steel pipe, PEX, fittings, fixtures, drains, waste, vent, and water distribution systems, valves, water heaters, fuel gas and oil systems, structural penetrations, insulation, and firestopping. Courses meet two and a half hours per day, Monday through Friday. This program is located at West-MEC Northeast Campus, 1617 W. Williams Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
